Art does have it’s auto motive. Some songs haunt you, nag you, charm you to be written. Some days trying to write a good song feels like chasing a NASCAR car on foot. This year is my 20th year of writing and recording under my nickname Sam. I don’t know how I made it this far. It must be that auto motive that kicks in. You friends in space (and in person) have certainly helped me along the way. I know this sounds corny, but don’t we get to be corny in our own spaces? You have taken the time to write me, you have come to my shows and have purchased cd’s (even records!) Thank you. If this were real space it would be time for tea and cookies……..

Is it that struggle to find out yourself, free yourself from all conditioning, misinformation and ignorance that has led one into harm or into harming others as well as the the temporary sacrifice of hapiness. But one can overcome ignorance, and even illness, and be happy once again. No I am not a hopeless optimist. More a realist.
